bundform-pans2Baking specialty birthday cakes always brings bright smiles to my kids. I have three children (ages 6, 8 and 12) so I’ve definitely baked my share of cakes! Over the years, I’ve baked a variety of clever designs; however, the most enjoyable part of cake baking, is not impressing gobs of children and parents (although that is a nice perk ;-) ); it’s the time I share with my kids decorating yummy cakes together!

When it’s time to make a special cake for my wonderful children, I usually whip out the kaiserware bundform pan. One secret I’ve developed: In addition to whatever cake recipe I choose, I like to add in a cup of sour cream to make the cake extra moist and delicious. After I mix the batter, I pour it into my bundform pan, put on the cap, and bake. Now the fun part! I put the cake on a cake cooling rack until cooled completely and fill the cake with delicious ice cream! mmmmm, my mouth waters just thinking about it. Last but not least, I flip the cake over, grab my cake decorating tools and call the kids in for some fun cake decorating. In my house, baking cakes  creates scrumptious desserts and fun for the entire family!

kaiserware-jelly-role-pan1Yesterday I had an urge to do a bit of baking. I’ve wanted to try some new recipes and couldn’t quit thinking about jelly rolls. I remembered the perfectly rolled soft jam rolls in the bakeries of my childhood, and imagined taking a bite out of it. Mmmmm mmm, heavenly!! I had never made one before and was a bit nervous to try.

When trying new baking recipes I have great confidence in my Kaiserware Jelly Roll Pan. A jelly roll pan of the most versatile tools in a cook’s arsenal; it’s endlessly useful for baking all sorts of pastries and confections. It bakes well; it’s easy to clean; and it’s going to last a long time because it’s commercial grade quality. A must have for making a variety of Holiday crowd pleasers.
